Christina comes to CAP with over 20 years of educational experience. She has been a classroom teacher, a coach, a mentor, and an advisor. In each of these roles, she most values the meaningful connection with her students and seeing their growth academically, emotionally and in developing critical thinking skills. Throughout the years, she has had the joyful opportunity to observe her students reach into their potential and thrive.

As a math teacher, Christina approaches concepts in ways students can understand and apply. As a reading and writing teacher, she has helped many students learn to become reflective readers, express their thoughts and learn to clearly articulate their ideas. In each of these roles, she believes the most beneficial learning stems from nurturing each student's strengths and abilities.

Christina grew up in Modesto, California. She earned her Bachelor's degree from Cal State Chico in English Literature and an Outdoor Leadership Certificate. She has her Clear Multiple Subject CLAD teaching credential from California Lutheran University in Thousand Oaks, CA. She is currently working on a Master's degree in Counseling.

When not teaching, Christina will also be found reading books, and enjoying her family (husband Matt and sons, Finn and Luke). She loves long windy mountain trails, fresh air and the beauty of nature. She enjoys cooking, especially from cultures around the world. She will also be found studying for her Master's degree in Counseling and learning new ways to live meaningfully as an educator and an individual.
