Three Ways High School Students Can Prepare for College

It’s never too early to start preparing for college. You may start as early as ninth grade by meeting with your counselor. Thuy Huynh, a counselor at Independence High School shared invaluable insights on what high school students can do to prepare for college.

1. Set a four year educational plan so you know what classes to take throughout high school.

2. Understand the college admission requirements.

3. Know and understand the courses offered at your high school to maximize your opportunities.

If you consider these three things early on, you will be more successful and you’ll have a better chance at being accepted into the college of your dream.
